Urban Edge Props. signs Wren Kitchens for store in Yonkers Gateway Center

Yonkers, NY Urban Edge Properties signed a lease with Wren Kitchens for a new store at Yonkers Gateway Center. Slated for a 2023 opening, this will be the design showroom’s first Westchester location. The new concept is replacing a closed Pier 1 store. Wren Kitchens is the UK’s top retailer for affordable luxury kitchens and aims to be the same in the U.S.

Yonkers Gateway Center is a premier regional shopping center serving the city as well as the villages of Scarsdale, Eastchester, Hartsdale and Ardsley. The property also features a new 50,000 s/f HomeSense store as well as Burlington, Marshall’s, DSW, PetSmart and Alamo Drafthouse Cinema.

Adam Weinblatt and Marc Frankel of Newmark represented Wren Kitchens in this transaction.

“Wren Kitchens is a fast-growing and popular concept catering to the home renovations boom,“ said Josh Birns, vice president, leasing at Urban Edge. “Our Yonkers location offers an ideal space in a dense market to reach the desirable Westchester County consumer.“

Launched in 2009, family-owned Wren Kitchens has three manufacturing and assembling facilities and 101 showrooms in the UK. In the US, Wren Kitchens plans eight new showrooms to be open by the end of 2023. Wren Kitchens manufactures every one of its kitchens in the USA at a facility in Wilkes-Barre, Penn.
