Turner Construction Company celebrated it's 100th anniversary of building in WNY.  
Turner opened its first branch office to serve the clients and communities of WNY in 1908. The company's first office in the region was in the Guaranty Building on Church St. In 1915, Turner constructed a service station and assembly plant for Ford Motor Co. now the Tri-Main Center. In 1922, Turner received its first "high rise" office-building contract to construct the Genesee Building, now the downtown Hyatt Regency.  In 1909, Turner constructed a factory for Pierce Arrow Motor Co.; warehouse for J.N. Adam & Co in 1912 on Ellicott St.; warehouse for Robertson-Cataract Electric Co. in 1915 on West Mohawk St.; the Swan St. Garage in 1922; an eight-story creamery building for the Fairmont Creamery on Perry St. in 1925; and, retail store in 1929 for the Sears Roebuck Co., currently Blue Cross/Blue Shield Building.
Turner is currently providing preconstruction and construction services for two projects at the University at Buffalo.  First an existing four-story 148,500 s/f chemistry building built over 40 years ago on the main campus.  The project is a complete interior renovation and restoration of the exterior facade, interior space and mechanical systems, and the reconstruction of the building to meet the requirements for research labs for pharmaceutical and biotech research and associated classroom and office space.  The second project is a new 130,000 s/f School of Engineering Building on the Amherst campus.
