Turner and Rhein of Zelnick & Co. secure three leases for Grupo MYT

Zelnik & Company has completed three deals with Grupo MYT, the parent company to Mexico's La Crepe Parisienne and Moshi Moshi. Grupo was founded in 1992 by three brothers who saw an opportunity to introduce innovative concepts to the Mexican food industry. Jason Turner and Anna Rhein, of Zelnik & Co. completed two leases with La Crepe Parisienne. The first location is at 114 University Place taking 500 s/f on the ground floor. The asking rent was $250 per s/f. La Crepe Parisienne will also be opening up later this year at 300 Bleecker St., signing a long term lease for 485 s/f on the ground and 350 s/f in the basement. The asking rent for 300 Bleecker St. was $300 per s/f. The Mexican based company will also be opening up the area's first Moshi Moshi location. The sushi chain signed a lease for 1,250 s/f at the corner location of 330 West Broadway. The asking rent for this space was $250 per s/f. Moshi Moshi is slated to open in early 2011. Turner and Rhein represented the tenant and landlords in these deals. Zelnik & Co. LLC is a boutique retail real estate firm based in Manhattan. What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
