True Religion outlet store leases 2,500 s/f at Tanger Outlet Center

True Religion Apparel, Inc. has signed a lease for its newest premium outlet store at the Tanger Outlet Center Riverhead II on Long Island. Scheduled to open this summer, the 2,500 s/f True Religion outlet store will carry men's, women's, and kids denim and other apparel. Celebrating its 25th anniversary as one of the country's leading outlet center companies in 2006, Tanger Factory Outlet Centers Inc. operates 35 outlet centers in 23 states coast to coast. The Riverhead, N.Y. outlet, which draws customers from the New York City metropolitan area and beyond, features stores such as Saks Off 5th, Barneys New York, Coach Factory, Kate Spade, Michael Kors, Lacoste, Cole Haan, Juicy Couture, Polo Ralph Lauren and Giorgio Armani. "We are pleased with this new addition to our roster of premium outlet stores and look forward to expanding our reach in New York and bringing our True Religion brand to a broader array of customers," said Jeffrey Lubell, chairman and chief executive officer. "Our retail expansion plans are moving along swiftly and are balanced with a careful blend of full price and outlet stores," said Michael Buckley, president. "Our first New York outlet store at the Woodbury Common Premium Outlets has been a success and we believe the demographics and co-tenants at the Tanger Center in Riverhead will offer the same opportunity for us to grow the True Religion brand."
