Thru the Lens: New York Metro CCIM Chapter hosts "Mobile Technology & Social Networking" event

The New York Metro CCIM Chapter hosted over 50 attendees at Bowlmor Lanes, Times Sq. on the topic "Mobile Technology & Social Networking." Featured speakers included Henry Kirk, BLYN.CC Development, Sarah Needleman, The Wall Street Journal and Wayne D'Amico, CCIM, Property Politics. Attendees learned about "cloud" computing, managing marketing through social networks and useful technology tools to make their business lives as efficient as possible. FEATURED SPEAKERS: HENRY KIRK, BLYN.CC App Development Kirk presented on the latest technology tools available for Commercial Real Estate. Having over 19 years of experience in technology, combined with his experience in selling, leasing and management of real estate, Mr. Kirk's presentation provided valuable insight needed to use technology to efficiently analyze and market commercial real estate. Kirk is co-founder of BLYN.CC App Development, which develops iPhone and iPad applications and integrated websites for commercial real estate. Kirk serves as the NY Metro CCIM Chapter secretary and technology chair. SARAH NEEDLEMAN, The Wall Street Journal Needleman is a social media expert and discussed tips and tricks for building a successful social media campaign. Needleman also discussed how to be successful using LinkedIn and Twitter for businesses. Needleman has been a reporter for Dow Jones Wall St. Journal since 2001 and currently covers small business. She writes Small-Business Boss, a weekly column about the challenges that entrepreneurs face in managing employees, and Accidental Entrepreneur, a monthly column on starting a business for the first time. Previously, Needleman reported on career-related topics such as job hunting and executive recruitment. WAYNE D'AMICO, CCIM, PropertyPolitics.com Principal of PropertyPolitics.com, Wayne D'Amico, CCIM has spent 24 years in the Commercial Investment Real Estate profession as a consultant, broker, appraiser and technology developer and advocate. In late '90s, D'Amico was a principal, designer and programmer in a web platform development firm and has since been active in site development for his own and other businesses including special projects for the CCIM Institute. He is currently a director on the board of CCIM Technologies, Inc. the wholly owned for profit subsidiary of the CCIM Institute for CRE technology platform development and is the 2013 president of the CCIM Institute. D'Amico discussed how he utilizes file collaboration systems that capitalizes on the Cloud computing evolution and improve electronic document / media management for both office and mobile productivity.
