New York, NY Thor Equities, a global leader in urban real estate development, leasing and management, has leased its 8,300 s/f retail property at 725 Eighth Ave. in the Theater District to Wahlburgers.

The five-level building owned by Thor Equities will be the celebrity burger restaurant’s first location in Manhattan, featuring gourmet burgers and specialty drinks. Wahlburgers recently opened its first New York City restaurant at 3015 Stillwell Ave. in Coney Island, also owned by Thor Equities.

Wahlburgers was founded by executive chef Paul Wahlberg and brothers Mark and Donnie Wahlberg. The popular fast-casual burger restaurant, bar and retail store is the subject of an A&E Network Emmy-nominated reality show.

“We are pleased to welcome Wahlburgers to 725 Eighth Ave. in the Theater District,” said Melissa Gliatta, executive vice president of Thor Equities. “They could not have chosen a better location for their first Manhattan restaurant, due to the building’s prime location on one of the most heavily trafficked streets in Midtown.”

725 Eighth Ave. features 26 ft. of frontage, and ceiling heights up to 17 ft.  The property is in close proximity to Broadway and Times Sq., and surrounded by numerous new residential buildings and hotels including ROW NYC located across the street.

Thor Equities also owns retail property on the ground floor of ROW NYC at 700 Eighth Ave. The 11,350 s/f corner spaces feature 20-ft. ceilings and more than 130 ft. of frontage on Eighth Ave., 44th St. and 45th St.
