"People choose The Yard because we provide the most sophisticated space for New York startups and small businesses," said The Yard co-founder Richard Beyda. "Our members are experienced entrepreneurs and successful businesspeople who value a professional space conducive to growth and connections. Our new central Midtown location will give them the best possible access for doing business in Midtown and Flatiron's Silicon Alley."
Award-winning designer architect David Bers returns to take The Yard's design to the next level, featuring:
 State of the art Event Space accommodating events for 150 people
 Rooftop Garden with spectacular Manhattan skyline views
 Full service Gentlemen's Grooming Club
 Extra Large High Tech Conference Rooms available for daily rentals
 Expanded Private Offices for 20+ team members
 Private Office Suites + Coworking space for over 450 people
 Fully furnished offices, community lounges, kitchen, receptionist, art installations, and more
The new Midtown location is just one block from The Yard Flatiron at 234 Fifth Avenue (at 27th Street), which opened in September 2014. Demand has been so high for the Flatiron location that founders Richard Beyda and Morris Levy quickly secured the 33,000 square foot space to expand its Midtown presence. The Yard Midtown joins member all-access locations at Flatiron, Lincoln Square, Lower East Side, and Williamsburg, each with unique features to support New York's most innovative small businesses.
Savills Studley Senior Managing Director, Evan Margolin and Managing Director, Lance Leighton represented The Yard to secure the 246 Fifth Avenue location and previously secured the company's other Flatiron location at 234 Fifth Avenue and their Herald Square/Times Square South location at 883 Avenue of the Americas.
"The Yard is continually seeking strategic growth opportunities that allow them to provide clients unparalleled value, amenities and engaging spaces. The company prioritizes innovation and ensures that their offices fully support their client's needs from infrastructure to design." Margolin said.
Leighton added, "The Yard has really been a pioneer in the co-working industry. Understanding that there has been a dramatic shift in office space wants and needs for creative users, many entrepreneurs and start-up companies are preferring flexibility and amenities, such as outdoor spaces and access to more conference and break-out rooms, as well as loft-like finishes over more traditional office spaces."
