Leasing activity at the tower has been swift since it began June 1, 2013. Families and young couples flocked to the building, which offers iconic city views and more amenity space than any other Long Island City property.
"We knew this would be a sought-after location and leasing activity was brisk from the day it started, but renting up the building this quickly surpassed even our expectations," said Sofia Estevez, executive vice president of TF Cornerstonep. "This is a testament to the high demand for Long Island City as the area continues to grow and offer more and more for residents."
New residents have been drawn to the building's 50,000 s/f landscaped amenity deck on the seventh floor which features a real sand beach volleyball court, two tennis courts, a reflecting pool, lawn, and sun deck with BBQ grills, lounge chairs and benches. Other amenities include 4545 Center Blvd.'s fitness center, club rooms with a catering kitchen, indoor parking garage, 24-hour concierge and valet, children's play room, outdoor children's playground, and convenient shuttle bus service.
"We are thrilled to welcome these new residents and to see them discover new things about the area every day. Residents will not only take advantage of the property's amenities, but can also enjoy some of the city's finest restaurants and nightlife, and retail shops just steps away from their door," said Estevez.
The next TF Cornerstone property set to open on the LIC waterfront in the spring is 4610 Center Blvd., which topped out in July 2013. Known for a sleek, modern design that curves around LIC's famous Pepsi Cola sign, the building was designed by the internationally-renowned architecture, interior design and planning firm Arquitectonica.
TF Cornerstone will continue to welcome new residents to the Long Island City waterfront and round out more than a decade of pioneering the neighborhood's waterfront area. Upon completion, this sought-after waterfront neighborhood will total 2,615 rental units, 184 condominiums and be home to more than 6,000 people.
