TerraCRG holds Only Brooklyn Real Estate Summit on June 1st

Brooklyn, NY As the borough’s commercial real estate market continues to evolve, many industry professionals have been contemplating the future of one of the most powerful sub-markets in the country. On June 1st, hundreds of owners, investors, developers and real estate players alike gathered at TerraCRG’s Only Brooklyn Real Estate Summit to hear insights and observations from the experts within the industry. TerraCRG’s sixth annual conference, in partnership with Compass and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, encompassed all segments of real estate, ensuring notable projects as well as the most important issues affecting the Brooklyn market were addressed. With nearly 40 esteemed speakers, a widespread variety of panel topics, multiple workshops and a record-breaking attendance, this year’s Only Brooklyn Summit was deemed the most successful to date.

Scissura, President and CEO of the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, sat down with Tucker Reed of the Downtown Brooklyn Partnership, Joe Lhota of NYU and Lorraine Grillo of the School Construction Authority to discuss important infrastructure issues throughout the borough, such as the necessity of space for public schools, the L train shutdown and the proposed BQX (Brooklyn-Queens Connector).

In the morning keynote discussion, Michael Stoler of The Stoler Report joined Michael Stern, Founder and Managing Partner of JDS Development Group and Michael Rudin, Vice President of Rudin Management to talk about their upcoming projects, the importance of the 421a tax abatement regarding rental housing and more.
