What transaction, project, or key moment best reflected the direction of the New York CRE market this year? Blackstone’s purchase of 1345 Avenue of the Americas was a clear signal that institutional capital is regaining confidence in the New York office market.

What accomplishment, milestone, project or transaction stood out for you or your firm in 2025?  This year saw MdeAS expanding into hospitality and retail with Michelin-starred chef Michael White’s new restaurant Santi at 520 Madison Ave.

What accomplishment, milestone, project or transaction stood out for you or your firm in 2025?  Our biggest 2025 milestone was launching BEB Credit Opportunity Fund II, a major validation of our performance and strategy as an active value-add bridge lender.

What transaction, project, or key moment best reflected the direction of the New York CRE market this year? New York remains one of the most sought after cities in the world. We continue to see companies relocating or expanding, overall strong employment figures, and a generally stable population with declining out-migration year over year.

What accomplishment, milestone, project or transaction stood out for you or your firm in 2025?  I’m particularly proud of my team’s success in bringing on so many new agents this year. They worked incredibly hard to recruit the best of the best, and those agents are now receiving the training and mentorship needed to thrive.

What transaction, project, or key moment best reflected the direction of the New York CRE market this year?  One of NYC’s initiatives promoting housing affordability is an allowance of increased new development size in exchange for inclusion of affordable units in market-rate multifamily projects. Developers will continue to take advantage of this benefit.

The key moment that best reflected the direction of New York’s CRE market in 2025 was the surge in office-to-residential conversions. These transformations signal a strategic pivot toward adaptive reuse, driven by zoning flexibility, tax incentives, and growing housing demand.

What accomplishment, milestone, project or transaction stood out for you or your firm in 2025?  Our firm has a longstanding relationship with Michael Kors, but 2025 was a particularly standout year for our ongoing collaboration as we complete three major retail venue designs for the global luxury brand, each a prototype concept launch.

What accomplishment, milestone, project or transaction stood out for you or your firm in 2025?  The sale of 41 Elizabeth St., a loft office and retail building in Manhattan’s Little Italy neighborhood, was a significant milestone for our firm this year.

What transaction, project, or key moment best reflected the direction of the New York CRE market this year?  My initial impression is that the velocity of deals for corporate office space has accelerated, especially in the second half of this year.
