Manhattan, NY Hap Investments, a NY-based international real estate investment and development company, hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for their new development, 2211 Third Ave. on November 7th. 2211 Third Ave., also known as Hap 10 and designed in collaboration with architects Fisher + Makooi, is a mixed-use rental building in East Harlem. It features 108 units, 61 parking spaces and a supermarket in the ground floor retail space. This project will allocate 20% of its rental units for affordable housing as part of NYC’s 421a program. HAP 10 is also participating in the FRESH program with a first-floor supermarket, which provides developers with incentives to bring supermarkets to underserved areas.

My colleagues and I are very proud of our long track record designing affordable housing for New Yorkers. We recently began construction on Concourse Village West, a 265-unit affordable project, part of a three-site affordable housing development in the Fleetwood – Concourse Village neighborhood of the Bronx.

New Paltz, NY The State University of New York (SUNY) at New Paltz president Donald Christian, SUNY chancellor Kristina Johnson, elected officials, Urbahn Architects, and PC Construction have broken ground for the $14 million, 19,500 s/f Engineering Innovation Hub (EIH) building. The new, two-story campus structure will enhance SUNY New Paltz’s growing mechanical engineering program, house the headquarters and laboratories of the University’s Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center (HVAMC), provide space for potential business partners under the state’s START-UP NY program, and serve as a business incubator for technology and engineering startups in the mid-Hudson Valley.
