SWBR joins Rochester’s Cornerstone Group for Hubbard Springs opening

Chili, NY On May 11, SWBR’s design team joined Rochester’s Cornerstone Group and state and local officials to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony for Hubbard Springs Apartments.

The new $21 million, 72-unit mixed-income apartment complex consists of a single two-story building with 24 apartments and six two-story buildings, each containing eight apartments. Eleven apartments are reserved for individuals with physical disabilities or traumatic brain injuries, with support services on-site. Eleven additional apartments were designed with accessibility for individuals with a mobility or hearing or visual impairment.

The project was awarded funding by New York State Homes & Community Renewal. RCG, in partnership with Bishop Sheen Ecumenical Housing Foundation, Inc. are co-developers on this $21 million development.

SWBR provided architectural, interior design, landscape architecture, and structural engineering design services for the project.

“Access to a safe, secure, high-quality and affordable place to call home is a cornerstone of stability and quality of life for individuals and families,” said Monroe County executive Adam Bello. “Projects like Hubbard Springs help make our communities stronger.”

All seven newly constructed buildings are located on Union Square Blvd. and are linked by crosswalks and sidewalks. The development is a half-mile from the hamlet center with pharmacies, a post office, grocery store, gas station and other retail shopping, and the town’s Hubbard Park is only a quarter mile away.
