Superstructures receives two preservation awards

July 15, 2013 - Design / Build
According to Superstructures Engineering + Architecture, PLLC, two of their projects have been recognized with preservation awards.
Their most recent award comes from the Friends of the Upper East Side Historic Districts for their work on a building design by Charles (CBJ) Snyder, Thomas Hunter Hall. The project included the restoration of many elements including extensive repairs to the hall's turrets and parapets.
In April, the firm's work on Clemente Soto Velez Cultural Center was recognized by the New York Landmarks Conservancy with its Lucy G. Moses Preservation Award. The Dutch neo-gothic building, also design by Snyder, had suffered extensive deterioration. The project included the restoration of roofs, copper gutters, windows, brick and terra cotta masonry and cleaning of limestone and terrazzo.
This is their fifth Lucy Moses Award in the last four years.
