Smith presented with Lifetime Achievement Award from LIBOR

Ed Smith received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at LIBOR's annual award and installation of officers dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club on November 24. Smith, who has been in the real estate business for over 36 years was recognized for his activities in many real estate organizations and his contribution to the education of commercial real estate agents. Smith has been writing and teaching commercial continuing education courses for over ten years. He has authored six continuing education courses and has written four books on commercial and investment real estate. He is past president of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors; the Metro-Long Island Chapter of NYSCAR; the Long Island Commercial Network (LICN); and has served as a director of the Long Island Board of Realtors. He is also a former officer and director of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS). Currently, a director of the New York State Association of Realtors, he also serves on many of their committees including: chairman of the Commercial Issues Committee; Legislative Steering; Education Management and previously served as Statewide RPAC Chairman. He serves on the Boards of NYSCAR and LICN and he is a director of the Real Estate Practitioners Institute at Long Island University. Recently, Smith earned NAR's Green Designation and he also became a qualified instructor for the Green Commercial Elective and the Green Property Management elective courses. He is regional director of Coldwell Banker Commercial NRT's Operations in the Northeast. He is a NYS licensed real estate broker, specializing in commercial and investment real estate.
