SL Green leases 31,126 s/f to Fir Tree at Tower 46; Turchin, Bogetti, Ackerman and Harle of CBRE rep landlord

New York, NY According to SL Green Realty Corp., Fir Tree, Inc., a prominent hedge fund with $12 billion of capital under management, has signed a 10-year lease covering 31,126 s/f at Tower 46, aka 55 West 46th St. The new headquarters lease covers the entire 29th and part of the 28th floors of the newly-constructed office building. SL Green, in a joint venture with Prudential Real Estate Investors, owns a condominium interest covering the top 13 floors of the newly constructed 34 story office tower. “We are pleased to welcome one of the financial world’s most prestigious firms to Tower 46,” said Steven Durels, executive vice president, director of leasing and real property for SL Green. "The building is ideally suited for businesses needing a state-of-the-art work environment." Constructed in 2013, Tower 46 was designed by Sidmore, Ownings & Merrill and features extraordinary floor slabs of 13’6” to 16’ high, column free floors, cutting-edge infrastructure and life/safety systems, a tenant only fitness center, in-building valet parking, spectacular views and convenient proximity to Bryant Park and Grand Central Terminal. Gregg Lorberbaum and Eti Hamlet of Centric Real Estate Advisors represented Fir Tree in while Peter Turchin, Scott Bogetti, James Ackerman and Christie Harle of CBRE represented the landlord.
