Simantov, Katz and Antebi of GFI broker $1.5 million sale of two-story walk-up

GFI Realty Services Inc. has completed the sale of 189-03 Henderson Ave., an exclusive listing in the Jamaica section, for $1.5 million. The two-story, walk-up apartment building consists of 22 garden-style apartment units totaling 26,208 s/f. Yanni Simantov of GFI Realty Services represented the buyer and Yosef Katz and Shlomo Antebi represented the seller. "189-03 Henderson Ave. closed in an all cash transaction," said Antebi, senior broker at GFI. "The buyer plans to renovate the property to increase its profitability as well its value." "Because the property was exclusive to GFI, we were able to utilize our large network of industry contacts to find the best investor for this property and sell it at the right price," said Katz, also a senior broker at GFI. This two story apartment building was built in 1951 and is located in the Jamaica section of Queens a few blocks from Jamaica Avenue, a major retail corridor that is home to major retailers such as Old Navy, the Gap, Walgreens as well as Ben and Jerry's.
