Siano and Batista of Sabre Real Estate Group honored by LIBN

Brokers at Sabre Real Estate Group, LLC have been honored three time by Long Island Business News (LIBN) in the publication's annual real estate awards. The regional business publication has honored Sabre director Greg Batista as its Commercial Real Estate Rising Star. LIBN also honored Jayson Siano, managing principal of Sabre, for his role in the 2013 Top Commercial Re-development Project-Suffolk and recognized Siano and Batista for the 2013 Most Creative Commercial Deal-Nassau. Siano and Batista and this year's other LIBN award winners are to receive their awards at an April 22 dinner at the Crest Hollow Country Club. Batista, a director at Sabre, completed 15 deals in his first full year at the firm, comprising 52,381s/f with an aggregate gross value of $10 million. His deals included bringing the first Denny's restaurant to Brooklyn. Other transactions involved Sally Beauty Supply, Cosmo Prof, Muscle Make Grill, Bonefish Grill and Ageless 360. Meanwhile, Siano was honored for his efforts in the redevelopment of a shuttered diner in Bohemia, near Islip MacArthur Airport, into locations for Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza and Starbucks. Siano and Batista also were honored for their creatively in the sale of a former, vacant cinema in Rockville Centre and its subsequent leasing to Bonefish Grill. "I appreciate LIBN's recognition of the creativity and effort that went into these award-winning deals," said Siano, who a year earlier was recognized by LIBN as the top commercial real estate broker on Long Island. "Greg Batista's award is well deserved," Siano said. "He has demonstrated energy and enthusiasm as a member of the Sabre team and has used his strong background to develop expansion strategies for national and regional retail and restaurant chains."
