Sharp joins Massey Knakal Realty's capital services division as a director

According to Massey Knakal Realty Services, William Sharp has joined the capital services division as a director. Sharp will utilize Massey Knakal's deep relationships with the lending community to procure the most effective financing in the commercial real estate debt markets for assets located throughout the New York metropolitan market. His focus will be on Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood. "We are delighted that Bill has joined our team as we continue our expansion into the mortgage brokerage business," said Garrett Thelander, executive managing director of Massey Knakal's capital services division. Sharp comes to Massey Knakal from NewOak Capital, where he served as a business development associate coordinating outreach campaigns to banks, insurance companies, private equity firms, and hedge funds to provide asset management advisory services. Earlier, he was a consultant in business development at RIFE International, LLC, leveraging new and existing relationships to aid the growth of an SBA 8(a)-Certified Small Business specializing in Energy Efficient services. Sharp was also a real estate advisor at Jones Lang LaSalle and a risk analyst at Fannie Mae Corp. Sharp earned his masters of science in Real Estate Finance from Georgetown University. He graduated cum laude from Morehouse College where he received a bachelor of arts degree in Business Finance. He participated in a six month International Business program at the School of Commerce Dijon Bourgogne in France. Additionally, he was vice president of the African American Real Estate Professionals organization in Washington, D.C. He can be reached in the Brooklyn office.
