Briarcliff Manor, NY The Club at Briarcliff Manor welcomed its first residents to the new senior living community featuring assisted living and independent living apartments and memory care.
Set atop a 59-acre wooded site with views of the Hudson River and once home to the Briarcliff Lodge, The Club at Briarcliff Manor features a mix of 87 assisted living, 167 independent living, and 33 memory care apartments in two interconnected Tudor-style buildings. The Scarborough Rd. property achieved Gold Level Certification under the Home Innovation program of the NGBS –National Green Building Standard.
The Club at Briarcliff Manor is developed by Senior Lifestyle Corp.
The Club offers options for assisted living, independent living and memory care provided by a professional staff that caters to residents’ personal needs and preferences. The assisted living residents at The Club enjoy quality of life while receiving personalized care, additional in-home help and customized programming. They continue living the healthy and active lifestyle they are used to with a little added assistance when needed.
Residents at The Club can choose from one-bedroom, one-bedroom plus den and two-bedroom apartments, which is an exceptional offering compared to other senior housing communities in Westchester County offering studios under 500 s/f. The apartments at The Club range from 605 s/f to 1,040 s/f.
The Club received from the New York State Department of Health an Enhanced Assisted Living Residence License (EALR). Assisted Living communities with an EALR can serve people who exceed the normal standards of adult homes, enriched housing, or normal assisted living. It allows residents to “age in place.” EALRs can hire licensed nurses to provide and supervise care.
All apartments feature granite counters, walk-in closets, ceramic tiled baths with walk-in showers, individually controlled heating and air conditioning and views of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. Residents enjoy access to valet parking, fitness center, several gourmet dining venues and upscale amenities in a vibrant environment with opportunities to pursue their passions and make social connections.
Residents in the Memory Care neighborhood who are living with dementia or Alzheimer’s receive The Club’s award-winning programming and care in a safe environment tailored to their personal needs.
The Club offers an array of amenities. A 24-hour concierge welcomes residents, visitors and staff, setting the tone for luxury senior living.
The Club features multiple dining venues. The main dining areas can accommodate individuals, small parties or large groups of 8 to 10 people. The dining rooms offer areas for more intimate settings within the larger room. For a more casual dining experience, there’s Rockefeller’s Bistro adjacent to the main dining room. The Carnegie Room near the Bistro and lobby is a quieter place for reading and socializing. It has a juice/coffee bar that is open all day. For light dining and cocktails there is the Hudson Lounge which overlooks the main terrace. Special events can be serviced by the bar or from the main kitchen.
The Club also boasts a creative art studio, game room; fitness center and rehabilitation gym; planned social activities; 25-seat cinema with tiered seating; beauty salon and barbershop; valet parking, outdoor patios; healing garden, fireside patio, terraces, courtyard and walking paths along the pastoral grounds designed by The Olmsted Brothers, sons of landscape architect Frederick Olmsted who co-designed Central Park. A top floor observation area known as The View offers stunning panoramic vistas of the Hudson River and Manhattan skyline. The Club is also pet friendly.
“The Club at Briarcliff Manor is setting a new standard of excellence in senior living in the New York Metro area. We are very pleased at the tremendous response we have received from residents throughout the area,” said John Muzio, executive director The Club at Briarcliff Manor. “We are so excited to remake history and open our doors to this community. Our vision for this property has been realized so beautifully,” he added.
