Schuckman Realty brokers 115,000 s/f Macy's lease

Schuckman Realty Inc. has completed a new long-term lease between its client, as landlord, with Macy's as tenant, for a 115,000 s/f building situated on eight acres, located on Glen Cove Rd. Macy's has been operating a furniture store from this location since 1972, and the new lease will commence at the conclusion of the current lease term. Prior to entering into negotiations for its new lease, Macy's conducted an exhaustive search for a suitable new location around the Roosevelt Field Mall area. During that same period, Schuckman Realty marketed the property to a variety of potential prospects. However, after analyzing all opportunities, Schuckman began pursuing Macy's, and eventually was successful in negotiating the best deal for the landlord with Macy's. This entire process, which began in 2007 was finally concluded in 2011, a four-year process which ultimately served the mutual interests of both landlord and tenant.
