Schofel, Gosin and Hassett of Newmark Knight Frank represent landlord in 24,400 s/f lease; Fink in-house reps Winter; Kahn of Norman Bobrow reps RHI

According to Newmark Knight Frank, RHI Entertainment, Inc. is moving to 423 West 55th St. The firm signed a new lease for 24,400 s/f, taking the entire 12th floor penthouse. Newmark Knight Frank executive managing director Stephen Schofel, along with director Joshua Gosin and associate director Daniel Hassett represented the landlord. "RHI has taken very creative space with 360-degree panoramic views and an oversized skylight, bringing occupancy to 100%," said Schofel. "RHI's decision is a testament to the building's recent transformation into a modern, highly sought after office building and a sign that the market can attract exciting premier tenants." The company is relocating from current offices at 1325 Avenue of the Americas. The 12-story, 300,000 s/f building is owned by The Winter Org. The building was recently repositioned from a semi-industrial property serving garment and printing tenants to primarily office space with a high-end gym and spa on the ground floor. The property's tenants include The Related Cos., Viacom and C2 Imaging. "For a hundred years, The Winter Org. has kept up with changing tides of the Manhattan real estate market. The makeover of this property proved prescient and helped attract a high-quality tenant from Sixth Avenue to an equally well-located mid-block property with great amenities and solid ownership," said Schofel. "We're happy to welcome RHI Entertainment. The company is exactly the kind of exciting, cutting edge tenant we hoped our renovation would attract and we're pleased it was a success," said Robert Fink, director of leasing at The Winter Organization and who represented the landlord in-house. Eric Kahn of Norman Bobrow & Co. represented RHI Entertainment in the transaction.
