Schiller and Borruso of Pyramid Brokerage complete $1.85 million sale

601 Vickers Street - Tonawanda, NY 601 Vickers Street - Tonawanda, NY
Tonawanda, NY HBS Building Supplies Inc. purchased 601 Vickers St. for $1.85 million. The 74,000 s/f building was the warehouse for MAWDI, subsequently sold its business to Uni-Select of Montreal, Canada. The owners of MAWDI retained ownership of the facility. David Schiller of Pyramid Brokerage Company of Buffalo Cushman & Wakefield was previously engaged by Uni-Select to handle its leasing requirements in the market several years ago, completing four transactions. At the same time, Schiller  and his colleague Ben Borruso from Pyramid were seeking space to enable HBS to accommodate its growth in the Buffalo area market.  The Vickers facility was no longer required by Uni-Select since it sold its US operations. “The supply of industrial buildings remains extremely tight in Western New York and in other Upstate New York submarkets. Most transactions involve expanding local and regional companies, of which HBS is an excellent example,” said Schiller. “Sale and lease of industrial buildings of all sizes is at an unprecedented pace,” said Borruso. According to Schiller, “More industrial real estate transactions are poised to close in the near future from the Pyramid office in Buffalo.” The building was listed by Johnson Real Estate.
