Schiavi joins Avison Young Studio, Project & Construction Management team, Tri-State

New York, NY Katie Schiavi joins Avison Young as director in charge of business development for the Studio, Project & Construction Management team to support growth and expansion across the Tri-State market. In her role, Schiavi will drive relationship management and lead-generating activities that will help win assignments and contribute to the high-performance team’s success pipeline.

“We’re thrilled to have Katie join our team. As we continue to expand in this market, we are focused on pursuing direct business. Katie will help us develop and maintain the connections we need to reach our ongoing goals,” said Stephen Silverstein, principal and managing director of U.S. Studio, Project Construction Management. “Katie’s experience in strategy, negotiation, account management, and client-first approach will be of incredible value to not only Kirsten Beck and her New York-based team, but to our entire service line.”

Schiavi brings more than 14 years of experience in nurturing enduring relationships with clients and the industry to support the growth of her teams. Most recently, Schiavi worked with OTJ Architects as the regional director of business development, where she worked closely with clients, partners, architects, and designers to enable transparency and guide projects, from inception to delivery.

“What drew me to Avison Young was the opportunity to not only enhance the growth of the Project Management team, but to leverage my network and collaborate with our team on innovative new strategies that will help us win work beyond our current scope,” said Schiavi. “I’m looking forward to propelling our clients to goal-achieving success through the services provided by Avison Young.”

Schiavi graduated from the University of Delaware with a Bachelor of Science in Human Services. She also completed Interior Architecture work at The George Washington University’s Corcoran School of the Arts and is a WELL Accredited professional. Schiavi serves on the board of The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation’s Real Estate Games in New York and as Chair of the New York Chapter of CoreNet’s Public Policy Committee.
