The 2012 March of Dimes Invitational Golf Tournament will take place on Thursday, June 14, at The Creek located at One Horse Hollow Rd. The outing begins with brunch at 10:30 a.m. and is followed by a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. The 31st annual event will close with cocktails, dinner buffet, live auction and awards ceremony beginning at 6 p.m. David Schechtman, Esq., executive managing director for Eastern Consolidated is this year's tournament honoree. He is highly-regarded as a leader in the Manhattan and Brooklyn real estate industry. His many successes have earned him recognition by The Real Deal as one of the "25 Most Visible New York City Real Estate Players Post-Credit Crunch ," by the Commercial Observer as one of the "20 to watch in 2012," and by NY Inc as one of the "15 People You Should Know." Premature birth is the most serious infant health problem in the United States today. It affects more than half a million babies nationwide each year, over 30,000 babies are born prematurely each year in New York State. Babies born too soon are more likely to die or have lifelong disabilities. The March of Dimes is committed to reversing this trend by funding research to find the causes of premature birth and providing comfort and information to families.
