Savitt of Savitt Partners negotiates 37,000 s/f lease renewal to Chaus Inc.

Chaus Inc., an international clothing manufacturer known for creating women's career apparel, has decided to renew its 37,000 s/f lease at 530 Seventh Ave. The company will continue to house its showrooms and offices in the 30-story property owned by Savitt Partners and located in the Fashion District at 39th St. Bob Savitt, president of Savitt Partners, acted on behalf of the ownership and also represented Chaus in the negotiations. Built in 1930, the Art-Deco 530 Seventh Ave. is widely-recognized as a premier location for many fashion companies in the contemporary, junior and missy category, as well as, designer, bridge, menswear, urban, footwear and accessory industries. In addition to Chaus, other tenants in the property include Perry Ellis, Max Mara, New Balance, YMI Jeanswear, Danskin, Nike Swimwear, Maggy London, Kenneth Cole, Select Showroom, and Showroom Delfina. Savitt Partners is a full-service commercial real estate company headquartered in New York City. Founded by Savitt, the firm owns and/or operates a portfolio totaling nearly two million s/f of office and showroom buildings, including 530 Seventh Ave., 525 Seventh Ave., 218 West 40th St., 499 Seventh Ave. and 11 West 19th St. In addition to overseeing the leasing and management of its own assets, the firm provides superior leasing, asset and property management and investment services to other quality owners and tenants.
