Sandler of Farrell Fritz appointed treasurer of the Farmington College Foundation's executive committee

According to Farrell Fritz, real estate partner Robert Sandler has been appointed to the Farmingdale College Foundation's executive committee. He will serve as treasurer. Sandler joined the foundation's board of directors in 2013. He will serve a two year term. Sandler, a Dix Hills, NY resident, focuses on commercial real estate leases, acquisitions and development, including financing and tax-deferred exchanges, with an emphasis on retail and office leasing. He represents owners and lessees of office buildings, national and local retailers, shopping centers, and franchisees. Sandler earned his law degree from St. John's University School of Law; a master's degree in Urban Planning from the City University of New York at Hunter College and his undergraduate degree in the Arts from American University. The Farmingdale College Foundation is a not-for-profit corporation that provides financial assistance in advancing the purposes and development of the college. The foundation provides scholarships, faculty development grants, and support of programs and projects that are not funded by the state budget.

When Environmental Site Assessments (ESA) were first part of commercial real estate risk management, it was the lenders driving this requirement. When a borrower wanted a loan on a property, banks would utilize a list of “Approved Consultants” to order the report on both refinances and purchases.
