North Hills, NY A grand opening was held for The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Long Island, North Hills, which marks the near completion of phase one of one the most significant residential developments of its kind ever built on Long Island. Residents enjoy services delivered by The Ritz-Carlton Hotel in a gated community with park-like grounds, a 25,000 s/f clubhouse and 124 individual condominiums on a par with buildings in places like Manhattan, Los Angeles and Miami. At this time, closings for phase one are well underway, with 80% of phase one under contract of sale.

Years ago, Long Island native, Scott Rechler, had a vision for the 17-acre site, and his company, RXR Realty, made his dream a reality with a new way of living for one of the country’s most affluent regions.

“We are very excited to be bringing The Ritz-Carlton lifestyle to Long Island,” said Rechler, chairman and CEO of RXR Realty, the property’s developer. “This is a unique development that provides our new owners with a luxurious home and full-service lifestyle like no other – and all just 20 miles from Manhattan. I would like to thank mayor Natiss and the village board for their partnership in making this first-of-its-kind project on Long Island a reality right here in North Hills.”

Residents of this resort-like property enjoy 24-hour concierge service and lavish amenities. The clubhouse features grand entertaining spaces, a resident lounge and bar, board room, theater-style screening room, game & billiards room, and a state of the art fitness center with saunas, steam showers, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The park-like setting includes a walking path, expansive pond, and lush gardens throughout the property. Individual residences at the North Hills property range from 1,500 to 4,000 square feet, with two to three bedroom options. Each residence boasts private balconies or terraces, high ceilings, gourmet kitchens, well-appointed bathrooms and two parking spaces.  In addition to the amenities in the Clubhouse, each residential building features its own club room, fitness center and yoga studio.

North Hills mayor Marvin Natiss expressed his ongoing support of the project.  “RXR Realty has certainly made a major contribution to our beautiful community with The Ritz-Carlton Residences. We all look forward to welcoming the new residents to North Hills.”

“While our economic policies have focused on transit-oriented housing, it is also important for our economy to offer CEO housing options as we continue to attract companies to relocate their headquarters to Nassau County,” said Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano. “The Ritz-Carlton Residences, North Hills offers that lifestyle.”

From the project’s inception, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty has been the project’s exclusive sales and marketing team for The Ritz-Carlton Residences in North Hills.  Founded in 1922, Daniel Gale Sotheby’s has grown and evolved into Long Island’s premier real estate brokerage firm.

“We have many people looking to live on Long Island who can afford the very best, and prefer a lifestyle that includes luxury amenities and hotel-services.  They don’t want to have to deal with the responsibility of maintaining a private residence or estate, so The Ritz-Carlton Residences suit their needs exceptionally well,” said Patricia Petersen, president & CEO of Daniel Gale Sotheby’s International Realty.  “From the inception of this project, it’s been our privilege to work side by side with RXR to help make Scott’s vision a reality.  We all know it will set a new standard for the region.”
