Since 1996
How has AREW contributed to your career growth?
The monthly topics are timely, I once left a luncheon on hotel development for a client meeting who mentioned repositioning an office building. I was able to relay the "red hot AREW information" and hook him up with potential consultants. The client hired us to do initial studies and now years later we do hospitality design and just finished the design for a $63 million hotel in the southwest.
Most memorable AREW moment:
The most memorable moment was when Page Southerland invited me to speak and host an Industries Leader Breakfast in my office. It was my first time sharing my experience as an owner of an architectural firm instead of just absorbing information from other AREW members.
AREW members who have positively influenced your career:
Lenore Lucy who recommended I join. AREW is the first organization I was involved with outside of purely architectural organizations. I've made friends, met clients and hired consultants, all from the AREW roster.
