Ronald McDonald House honors MKDA founder Kleinberg

The Ronald McDonald House of New York, a charitable organization that provides housing for cancer stricken children and their families, honored MKDA Founder Milo Kleinberg at its annual "Casino Night" fundraiser, which raised more than $120,000 for the charity. The Ronald McDonald House recognized Kleinberg for his 50 years of professional achievements in corporate interior design, his influence within New York City's real estate industry, and his various philanthropic contributions. "It was an honor being recognized by this distinguished organization that not only offers cancer patients and their families a home-away-from-home during treatment, but also offers various other means of support," said Kleinberg. "Our thoughts were with the Ronald McDonald House children and their families as we gathered together to support this worthwhile cause and excellent organization." The ceremony, during which a young resident spoke of the profound effect the House has had on his ability to get the medical treatment he needs, was followed by an exciting evening of gambling, raffle prizes and silent auctions. Some lucky raffle winners went home with a voucher for a helicopter ride around Manhattan, an original painting by Alexander Calder and Lasik eye surgery courtesy of Advanced Eye Care. "'Casino Night' is an exciting fundraising event that The Ronald McDonald House looks forward to each and every year," said Bill Sullivan, president of The Ronald McDonald House of New York.
