Integrating the innovation of a young growing firm with the experience of seasoned attorneys, Romer Debbas is a recognized authority in the field of real estate law and general practice. The firm is led by founders and managing partners Michael Romer and Pierre Debbas.

The Real Deal ranking is yet another accomplishment for the firm. Romer Debbas was acknowledged by U.S. News & World Report as one of the top real estate law firms in the city. Additionally, several of the firm’s attorneys have been named in Super Lawyers, Best Lawyers and Leaders in the Law, issued in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal and New York Magazine respectively, celebrating them among Manhattan’s top real estate attorneys.

Romer represents a broad range of clients in the acquisition, sale, lease, development and/or financing of commercial land residential properties. In addition, he boasts a successful history of representing prominent financial institutions in commercial and residential lending transactions; and fulfilling the general counsel and litigation needs of numerous cooperative and condominium boards throughout New York City. In 2018, Romer was named in Super Lawyers New York Metro for Real Estate, which lists the top 5% of all lawyers in their respective practice areas as nominated by their peers. Prior, Romer was regularly named in the Rising Stars section of Super Lawyers which highlights the top 2.5% of lawyers under the age of 40.

Over the course of his career, Debbas has been instrumental in thousands of real estate transactions with an aggregate value in excess of $1 billion. In 2013, Debbas was named among Super Lawyers’ Rising Stars; and in 2014, he secured his spot on Super Lawyers – an accomplishment earned each year since.
