Roland’s Electric hires Symington assistant vice president

Deer Park, NY Roland's Electric, Inc. has added Joseph Symington to the company as an assistant vice president.

"We are excited to welcome Joseph to our team, as he brings a strong electrical construction background and a commitment to excellence," said Stephen Cadieux, president of Roland's Electric. "Our responsibility is to provide exceptional electrical services to our clients and project partners - having Joseph aboard allows us to expand our efforts and capabilities in Nassau and Suffolk Counties."

Symington brings 22 years experience in the electrical construction and contracting industry, successfully completing projects such as the MacArthur Airport expansion, for Southwest Airlines, Target, Cold Spring Harbor Labs, Stony Brook University, and others in his previous position.

Prior to joining Roland's Electric, Symington served as project manager/estimator for Mainline Electric Corp. in Huntington Station for 17 years. He had joined the company five years earlier as an electrical apprentice, working up to a foreman before stepping into estimating and then project management. Beginning his electrical career in a Local 25 electrical apprentice program, he received extensive instruction, training, in-the-field experience and licensing.

Before, I was essentially a one-man department, doing it all, so being able to work with an entire team now is really fantastic, for me and our clients," said Joseph Symington, with a smile, about his new role.

An avid photographer when not working, Joseph grew up in Lindenhurst, NY and now resides in Mount Sinai. Joseph brings a solid foundation and thorough understanding of electrical systems having worked on many diverse electrical projects over the years, including schools, police departments, fire departments, municipalities, retail and more.
