Manhattan, NY Rockefeller Group said that R. Stokes Moore has been promoted to chief investment officer, executive vice president and CFO, for the U.S. real estate owner, operator and developer. Based in New York, he was previously executive vice president and CFO.
In his expanded role, Moore serves as chair of the company’s investment committee, which is tasked with evaluating new investment and development opportunities nationally. He also oversees all aspects of the accounting, tax, finance, treasury and business analysis & planning functions, and collaborates with key Rockefeller Group executives to develop and execute the company’s investment and disposition strategies. In addition, Moore oversees the company’s IT and corporate facilities departments, which manage the company’s technology infrastructure and investment, as well as office services.
Moore has served as CFO since 2018, and as executive vice president since January 2021. Throughout his tenure, his responsibilities have increased in tandem with the company’s growth in development nationally. Over the past five years, the company has more than doubled its development portfolio to 23.1 million s/f from 9.7 million s/f and increased total project value to more than $6 billion.

In addition to its Core portfolio, which totals 6 million s/f of class-A office space in Midtown Manhattan, the company operates from 12 offices nationally, with a development pipeline spanning 16 states and Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining Rockefeller Group, Moore worked 14 years at Unilever, one of the world’s largest consumer goods companies in a variety of finance roles with increasing responsibility, and most recently as a global finance director. He has worked as a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
Moore is a graduate of Duke University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in History. He received his MBA with honors from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
