Rochester NYSCAR chapter holds 16th annual presidents dinner, awards

Penfield, NY On November 17, 2016, the Rochester Area Chapter of the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (RAC NYSCAR) held its 16th Annual 2016 president’s dinner and awards banquet at Midvale Country Club. Seventy-one members and guests attended one of the chapter’s premier events of the year.

John “Dutch” Summers owner of Graywood Companies, Inc., was honored with the Allan Moore Lifetime Achievement Award for his exemplary achievements, philanthropy, personal commitment, dedication and performance in the commercial real estate industry in the Rochester community.

Virginia “Ginny” Squire of Mission Commercial Realty, LLC, was the recipient of the deal of the year – sale award. Michael Frame from CBRE|Rochester received the award for the deal of the year – lease.

Howard Kravetz, RE/MAX 1st Commercial, was awarded the commercial realtor of the year for having demonstrated excellence in the commercial real estate profession.

Caroline Rohlin of Mission Commercial Realty LLC, and the executive secretary for the Rochester Area Chapter of NYSCAR, was awarded the meritorious service award for her years of dedicated service to the chapter.

Installation of Officers and Directors were as follows: Mercedes Brien, Mission Commercial Realty, LLC; newest board member, Harry Gleason, CBRE|Rochester; Joseph Rowley, III, SVN/Realty Performance Advisors; Virginia Squire, Mission Commercial Realty, LLC; and were sworn in by Brian DiNardo, 2016 president for the New York State Commercial Association of Realtors (NYSCAR). Christopher Passero, Passero Realty Services, LLC, was not in attendance and will be sworn in at a later date. Joseph Rowley, Jr., SVN/Realty Performance Advisors, incoming 2017 president of the Rochester Area Chapter of NYSCAR was also sworn in by DiNardo.

The Rochester Area Chapter is looking forward to our forthcoming Calendar of Events for 2017. They are excited to be starting their Kick-Off on Thursday, January 12, 2017, at the City Grill, with guest speaker, Bob Duffy, Chamber of Commerce president and CEO. The Rochester Area Chapter of NYSCAR is a group of approximately 120 commercial real estate Broker and Affiliate members dedicated to promoting the interests of commercial real estate professionals in the Rochester Region. The jurisdiction of the Rochester Area Chapter is the geographic area of Monroe, Wayne, Ontario, Livingston, Steuben, Yates, Seneca, and Eastern Orleans (east of Route 98) counties.
