Robert Mayer, MayerMeinberg LLP

Contact Name : Robert Mayer Company Name : MayerMeinberg LLP Email : [email protected] Phone : 516-921-8900 Fax : 516-921-4070 Address, City, State : 6900 Jericho Turnpike Suite 312 Syosset, NY 11791 What was your greatest professional accomplishment in 2012? : My greatest professional achievement in 2012 was negotiating for a client on a short sale on a large commercial building. I was able to negotiate a settlement for less than the full amount and the release of their personal guarantees. The SBA seldom, if ever allows a business to be forgiven of debt unless it goes out of business. I was able to negotiate with the SBA and they allowed my client to remain in business. What was your most notable project, deal or transaction in 2012? : MayerMeinberg was formed in a merge in the last few months of 2011 and in 2012 we combined the main office. The complexity of merging two firms, thirty employees and creating a culture, while maintaining efforts in our NYC office, was our biggest project for 2012. We feel that we have accomplished this and are ready to move forward to acquire new clients and other CPA firms that provide services beyond what we currently do. What are your predictions for commercial real estate in 2013? : My prediction is that 2013 will show higher prices than prior years in commercial rental space as new business formation is created. As available space becomes rented, the price per square foot will continue to rise in the residential market with less foreclosed properties being available for sale the existing money value will increase as it has done in the last few months of 2012. What are your resolutions for 2013? : Our boutique firm's goals for 2013 include continuing to provide proactive services to our current clients and serving new clients, while maintaining a focus on minimizing tax with appreciation of assets.
