Riggs named new Community Preservation Corp. director of N.Y.C originations team

According to the Community Preservation Corp. (CPC), a leading non-profit lender for affordable housing throughout NYS, aits Bronx and Brooklyn offices are being consolidated into a single N.Y.C. originations team to be led by Robert Riggs, senior VP and current regional director of the Brooklyn Region. Riggs has served as director of CPC's Brooklyn Region since 2008. He joined CPC in 2000 as a mortgage officer in the Brooklyn office. Prior to CPC, Riggs spent four years at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York analyzing strategies for private lending and investment in urban communities. He also worked as an intern in the New York City Department of Housing Preservation & Development after graduating from college. "The consolidated New York City team will strengthen CPC's ongoing efforts to comprehensively serve the needs of the affordable housing community, with the combined expertise and resources benefiting our staff, our borrowers, and our partners throughout the city," said Rafael Cestero, president and CEO, CPC. "I have no doubt that Robert will do an excellent job in this new role and that he will help to bring the Bronx and Brooklyn offices together seamlessly. The breadth of his knowledge and experience with regard to the market and the industry continues to be a tremendous asset to the team."
