Racanelli Const. South, Inc. serving as GC on $2.78 million RTP Park project

Racanelli Construction South, Inc., an affiliate of Racanelli Construction Company, Inc., one of the leading construction management, general contractor and design/build resources for commercial, industrial, retail, medical, pre-engineered and multi-unit residential projects, has been named the general contractor for the development of the ten-acre, $2.78 million RTP Park project. Components of the park project include tennis courts, picnic shelter, restroom and maintenance buildings, and playground. In addition to these facilities, the project encompasses road widening, parking lots and numerous retaining walls and walking paths. Racanelli began work on the project on October 28, 2013. The project is slated for completion by October 31, 2014. The RTP Park project initially began in 2007 with the acquisition of 25 acres of land from the Research Triangle Park Foundation. The original concept for the park was to include baseball fields and related amenities. In 2012, after a greater demand for cricket pitches rather than baseball fields was identified, a new concept plan was approved.
