Putterman of Cohen & Co. sells Plaza 12 for $9.2 million

According to Cohen and Co., Inc. Real Estate (CCIRE) the firm has recently completed the sale of Plaza 12 Shopping Center, a neighborhood shopping center for $9.2 million. Helen Putterman, president CCIRE exclusively represented the seller, New Carteret Associates, LLC, a New York City private investor who has owned the property since 1997. She also procured the purchaser, a New York City investor as part of a 1031 exchange. The buyer appreciated the security of having stable credit tenants such as Walgreen's, McDonalds, Auto Zone, Meineke Muffler.

What noteworthy transactions or deals from this year best exemplified key market trends or shifts? I would like to say there was an outstanding transaction for me this past year but 2024 was more a culmination of long-term relationships, most of which continued to transact. Deals were smaller in many cases but we saw robust leasing both on the agency side as well as on the tenant side.
