Lenny Lazzarino - 2016

Name: Lenny Lazzarino - 2016

Title: Senior Vice President of Leasing & Business Development

Company: Edison Properties, LLC

Location: 520 8th Avenue, 19th Floor New York, NY 10018

Birthplace: Islip, NY

Education: St. John’s University, Business Major

First job outside of real estate:  Worked in father’s business as an account sales & customer service rep.

First job in real estate or allied field: Work in the Mini Storage division for my current employer.

What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? I oversee the sales division for our storage business, lead a business development team for Edison and I am in charge of all leasing responsibilities. I am a deal junkie.  I love the puzzle piecing aspect of getting a deal done, enjoy the interaction with brokers and helping to solve their clients’ needs and I love coming to work at the start of every week to complete projects and start new ones. In the future, I see myself continuing to climb the corporate Edison ladder. 23 years and counting.

How do you unwind from a busy day in real estate? It starts with dinner with the family. I am an avid sport enthusiast, so watching the Rangers, Giants, Met’s or Knicks makes me happy. I also continue to play organized ice hockey and run whenever I have the energy.

Favorite book or author: I am not too deep. I like DeMille. Anything with John Corey killing bad guys is enough to entertain me.

Favorite movie: There are so many. Love stupid comedies the most, so let’s go with “Old School” for now. “Gladiator” and “A Few Good Men” are others I can watch anytime.

Last song you purchased/downloaded? “Sail” by AWOLNATION

One word to describe your work environment: Intense

Rules to live by in business: Tell them what you know. Determine what you don’t and never make up an answer you are not 100% sure is accurate.

If you could invite one person to dinner (living or dead, but not related to you) who would it be and where would you go? Wayne Gretzky and we would go to Rao’s on 114th Street. Why not knock off two items from the bucket list?

What is your DREAM job? (something other than your current job) Sports talk radio host.
