What do you do now? I’m the principal for design at RKTB Architects. I also lead our marketing efforts. 

What are you planning for the future? To keep us growing where we are strong (adaptive reuse, multifamily, K-12) while becoming stronger in other markets. I’m also interested in developing new leadership, and would like to see more women in leadership roles here. 

How do you unwind from a busy day? The partners and I will gather to recap the week over a drink. I’m also an avid reader, and my wife and I enjoy classic film from the 1930s-40s.

Favorite book or author: Fond of Philip Roth and Norman Mailer

Favorite movie: “I Know Where I’m Going!” – a 1947 British romance. 

Last song you purchased/downloaded? “Love is Here to Stay,” (Tony Bennett/Diana Krall album)

One word to describe your work environment: Activated.

Rules to live by in business: Make no enemies! It’s a long way to the top, but a short way back down. My other rule is a cornerstone of RKTB’s mission: to make life better where you live and work. We strive to create livable neighborhoods and buildings for the full range of New York residents. 

What is your dream job? I’d like to do more museum design – my wife and I love the arts.
