What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? Stillman Development International is embarking on a complete renovation, reconstruction and restoration of the historic Times Sq. Theater on 42nd St. between 7th and 8th Ave. We are transforming the vacant theater into experiential retail/brand experience space. Challenging components to the project include extracting interior plaster for offsite restoration; severing, bracing and hydraulically lifting the façade; full cellar excavation; construction of new 5 levels of steel framed building behind and above the historic façade; installation of a glass overlook over the 42nd St. sidewalk; full façade restoration; installation of large format LED signage on the building’s exterior. We are creating the platinum standard of flagship experiential buildings in Times Sq. For the future, we are planning transformational distribution/warehouse facilities in NYC activating decades old railways to reduce truck congestion, introducing electric charging for trucks to reduce carbon emissions and planning solar farms on the buildings to be as energy independent as possible.
