My projects included the Madison Square Garden, for which I designed the exterior light fixtures, sidewalks, and food stands. In 1978, I founded Britton Development, Ltd., a residential real estate development firm that operated until 1988.
What do you do now and what are you planning for the future? Since the 1960s, my design work has focused on luxury and affordable housing as well as mixed-use projects in New York City and the Greater New York area. I am currently expanding Montroy Andersen DeMarco's ground-up multi-family residential practice, including two new projects in the design phases: a redevelopment of a six-story garage structure into a mixed-use residential/garage property on the Upper East Side, and a new residential/retail high-rise in Long Island City, which will house a Mercedes-Benz dealership.
How do you unwind from a busy day? Frequent dinners with my wife and family and morning basketball games several times a week at the East 47th Street YMCA.
Favorite book or author: "The Day of the Jackal" by Frederick Forsyth
Favorite movie: "A Man for All Seasons" - A great story of a man standing up for his values.
