Premier finishes insulation work at Yankee Stadium
According to the Insulation Contractors Association of New York City, Inc. (ICA), member contractor, Premier Insulation Services, Inc., has completed insulation work on three different levels of Yankee Stadium. The crew worked 12-hour shifts for 12 days to complete the project, which had a two week time-frame. Premier finished the job one day ahead of schedule.
The project presented Premier with unique challenges, primarily due to the fact that Almar Plumbing (the plumbing contractor), brought Premier in two weeks before Turner had to turn over the stadium to the Yankee Org. to meet their deadline. Premier insulated the horizontal storm piping in the loading dock which was 30' in elevation. Work was also completed on 16 filtration tanks and the cold meter stations in the mechanical rooms. Most interesting of the work was a 10,000 gallon suction water storage tank, which is filled with city water and distributed to the pumps throughout the building.
Some other work that was completed by Premier were the irrigation water lines, eight inch thru 16" domestic water pipes, fittings and valves
Premier also worked on other various locations throughout the entire Stadium that came up as punch list items.
