Pinnola and La Ruffa named principals at NAI LI
According to NAI Long Island, Brian Pinnola and John La Ruffa, SIOR have both been named principals at the firm. They join current principals Carmine Inserra, John Simone, Albert Centrella and Frank Socci, Jr., CPM.
Pinnola began his career 25 years ago with Bagnato Realty Services, the predecessor firm to NAI Long Island. He has focused his efforts in the Rockaways, Western Nassau County and especially in the JFK International Airport office and warehouse market working with airlines, custom house brokers, freight forwarders, trucking companies and all airport businesses.
La Ruffa has been a commercial real estate broker for over 18 years, specializing in the redevelopment and leasing of office properties throughout all of Long Island. In establishing strong relationships within the industry and representing more than 500,000 s/f of some of the most established businesses and commercial real estate landlords, La Ruffa contributes his success as a broker in positioning buildings and tenants, to his architectural and construction background.
In 2001, Joseph Maffia joined Pinnola's team, which now is the exclusive leasing agent for approximately 700,000 s/f at JFK. During the last few years they have expanded the scope of their services nationally, closing transactions at BWI, CVG, IND, LAX, ORD, SFO, and PVD airports.
At the NAI Global convention in Las Vegas, NAI Global named Pinnola to the NAI Global Elite, a group comprised of the organization's top performers and top producers. Most recently, Pinnola was named one of Long Island's Top Industrial Leasing Broker's by CoStar Group's 2008 Power Broker Awards. Outside of NAI, Pinnola is the president of The Garden City Historical Society, the 2nd Vice President of the Rockaway Development & Revitalization Corp. and an active member of the JFK Chamber of Commerce.
La Ruffa has formed a team with Al Centrella, Jr., as they work together on commercial real estate deals and promoting their clients location efforts. In 2004, La Ruffa was inducted into NAI Global's Gold Club for completing over $2 million dollars in transactions worldwide. Additionally, in 2007 La Ruffa was awarded Broker of the Year by RexCorp and holds the designation of SIOR, a certification of the highest level of comprehension, production, and principles in the real estate industry.
