Peace of Mind Technologies to provide security systems for the new Standard Hotel

Leading security technology provider Peace of Mind Technologies, LLC (POM) will develop and install state-of-the-art video surveillance and card access control systems for the new Standard Hotel, the Andre Balazs project currently under construction at 848 Washington St. in the Meatpacking District, according to Jon Ecker, president and CEO of POM. Designed by award-winning architects Polshek Partnership, the 13-story tower will literally straddle the much-publicized High Line elevated park on both Washington St. and 13th St. It is anticipated the security technology system will include multiple cameras covering all egresses and other significant public areas. "The Standard is our first installation for Andre Balazs' estimable hotel group," said Ecker. "To meet this hotelier's standards, we have customized a security technology program commensurate with the cutting-edge design and amenities defining this hotel."
