P.W. Grosser honors scholarship winners at recent luncheon
P.W. Grosser Consulting held their annual luncheon honoring the 2010 PWGC Scholarship Program winners.
PWGC established these scholarships for local high school students looking to purse a future career in the engineering field. This year, PWGC received nearly 100 entries from high school students across Long Island. In the past several years, the PWGC scholarship program has awarded over $5,000 in scholarships to students who are continuing their education. These scholarships help pave the way for these bright young students from diverse backgrounds to excel in the engineering profession, which will ultimately benefit us all.
Each year, PWGC requires an essay with every application and this year all three of the scholarship recipients submitted an essay on the subject of President Obama's Alternative Energy Plan. Each essay was informative, well written and contained creative ideas.
PWGC is very pleased to name the 2010 Scholarship recipients:
First Place: Matthew Cario from West Babylon Senior High School was awarded a $750 scholarship. Cario will attend Cornell University this fall studying engineering physics.
Runner-Up: Brendan Lenz from Bayport-Blue Point High School was awarded a $500 scholarship. Lenz will attend Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute this fall studying engineering.
