Onex Real Estate leases 4,539 s/f to Chase Bank at Flushing's Sky View Center

Flushing's Sky View Center, the 800,000 s/f, multi-level regional mall located at the intersection of College Point Blvd. and Roosevelt Ave. has added a 4,539 s/f Chase Bank, its fourth branch in downtown Flushing. "The recent introduction of a fourth Chase Bank branch further reinforces the growing economic strength and vitality of Flushing," said city councilman Peter Koo of Flushing. "The combination of regional and international businesses continues to transform the neighborhood into a major urban business and retail destination for shopping, dining and entertainment." Coming at the heels of three major retail openings including Five Guys Burger & Fries, Famous Footwear and the 36,000 s/f specialty Asian supermarket Sky Foods, Chase Bank will also join other national tenants including Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, Target (including a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express), Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, BJ's Wholesale Club, Bob's Discount Furniture, Chuck E. Cheese's, Famous Footwear, Marshall's, Old Navy, Payless Shoesource, and Hershey's Ice Cream. "The addition of Chase Bank reflects the ongoing strength and appeal of Sky View Center and will soon provide residents with another significant convenience of living at Sky View Parc," said Michael Dana, president of Onex Real Estate Partners, owner/developer of Sky View Center. "We are pleased to provide this new branch of Chase Bank for those living and shopping in one of New York City's fastest growing neighborhoods." Daniel Brown of TRS Associates, Inc. who represented Chase said, "Our tier one customers such as Chase Bank always strive to serve their retail banking clientele by locating in the highest profile locations. Sky View Center was a natural fit due to its high density mix of high-rise residential apartments and national retail chain stores."
