NYSCAR to hold first board meeting of the year February 10th

By Michael Johnson The first meeting of the year for the board of governors of the New York State Association of Commercial Realtors (NYSCAR) will he held on Sunday, February 10 at the Desmond Hotel and Conference Center in Albany. I look forward to a productive meeting and another great year! The NYSCAR meeting is held in conjunction with the New York State Association of Realtors (NYSAR) business meetings. NYSAR will hold their business meetings and leadership conference from February 11 - Wednesday, February 14. We are pleased to have instructor, Ken Vidar, CCIM scheduled for the Hudson Valley Education session in April. The annual Education and Marketing event will be held April 10-11 at the Hotel Sierra, in Fishkill, sponsored by NYSCAR and the Hudson Valley Chapter of NYSCAR. This is a great event every year, so mark your calendar and plan to attend! The Annual Conference Committee has also been meeting via conference calls to plan to the "12th Annual New York State Commercial Real Estate Conference," chaired by John Lavelle of RJ Smith Realty. The Annual Conference will be held at Turning Stone Resort & Casino in Verona, June 3-5. The program, featuring commercial courses, marketing session and great networking, is shaping up to be an outstanding conference and we look forward to seeing you there. 2013 Code of Ethics & Professional Standards Hearing Procedures Training You will gain a full understanding of the conduct of ethics and arbitration hearings, enforcement procedures and disciplinary guidelines. The Code of Ethics and the most recent changes adopted by NAR's board of directors or delegate body will also be covered. In addition to six hours of CE credit, this course also satisfies NAR's mandatory ethics training requirement for Realtor members. Patrick Reilly, RCE, NYSAR vice president of board and member services, will instruct the course on the following dates in the following five locations: * January 16: DoubleTree Hotel, Syracuse * January 31-Clarion Hotel, Batavia * February 1, Hilton Garden Inn Ithaca, Ithaca * February 25 - Albany Marriott, Albany * March 1, High Peaks Resort, Lake Placid.
