NYCREW to present Vanguard Awards December 3rd at Holiday Gala

The New York Chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women's Network (NYCREW) will recognize a year of outstanding achievements by its members with the presentation of its highly prized Vanguard Awards at its annual Holiday Gala. The event will be held Tuesday, December 3rd, from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. at the Columbus Citizens Foundation Townhouse, 8 East 69th St. "The annual awards recognize contributions to NYCREW and the industry at large," said NYCREW board member and CREW delegate Karen Dome, an associate broker at Marcus & Millichap and a co-chair of the Awards Committee. "The dynamism of NYCREW has grown quickly in our 12-year history, and the Vanguard Awards are thoughtfully selected to honor not just NYCREW members' achievements in helping our local and national organization, CREW Network, but also the greater business community," Dome said. Nominees for each award are proposed by the entire membership, with the honorees selected by Dome and fellow Awards co-chair Erin Beitz, director of acquisitions of Carmel Partners and a NYCREW board member. Honors are given in the following categories: * The Pioneer Spirit Award, recognizing outstanding achievements by a NYCREW member striving for the highest degree of excellence, integrity and responsibility in her field; * The Avant-Garde Award, showcasing individual excellence in business as shown by outstanding initiative, impact of work and inspiration of others; * The Pinnacle Award, honoring a member who has contributed substantially to defining the standards of real estate practice; * The Leadership Award, given to a professional for professional and personal achievement in advancing women's involvement in all aspects of the real estate industry; * The Visionary Award, honoring a founding member who has demonstrated 10 years of unwavering commitment and dedication to the NYCREW community through mentoring and community outreach. "We're thrilled to have this opportunity to acknowledge all our members have achieved, and grateful to the companies that sponsor the Awards. They are true partners in facilitating the advancement of women in our industry," Beitz said. The Vanguard Awards are just one highlight of the holiday event, which will feature a cocktail reception, hors d'oeuvres and raffle. Co-Chairs for the Gala are NYCREW Board members Christine Chipurnoi, a Senior Vice President at Wells Fargo Insurance Services and Faith Hope Consolo, Chairman of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group. Registration information will be available shortly at http://www.nycrew.org/.
