National Minority Business Council to hold conference on October 19
Jacqueline Wales, author of "The Fearless Factor" (Turning Point Press, 2009) and Karenann Carty, Ed. D., Dean of Academics for Monroe College's Westchester County campus in New Rochelle, will headline the National Minority Business Council's 8th Annual Women's Business Leadership Conference, October 19.
"Jacqueline Wales and Karenann Carty are going to be a dynamic team at this year's conference," said John Robinson, president of National Minority Business Council , a non-profit corporation that is dedicated to providing business assistance, educational opportunities, seminars, purchasing listings and related services to hundreds of small, minority, women and veteran-owned businesses throughout the Tri-state area and across the nation.
"Jacqueline (http://www.thefearlessfactor.com) is a career coach, author, entrepreneur and motivational speaker. She speaks candidly about her personal life story which is filled with struggles and challenges that would be daunting to most. Her keynote address, 'Bridging the Gap between Fear and Opportunities,' is bound to inspire our attendees and conference sponsors to, as Jacqueline says, 'Get out of your own way so that you can soar in your business,'" said Robinson.
Conference attendees will also hear workshop presentations on Business Ethics in the Pursuit of Professional Growth, Social Media News and Business Strategies, Marketing and Messaging Growth Strategies, and Doing Business Globally. The conference begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 2:30 p.m. Lunch is included.

200 business owners and senior-level business executives in decision-making roles will be attending this year's conference to be held at BNY Mellon headquarters at 101 Barclay St. BNY Mellon, a sponsor of the conference, has been a Corporate Contributing Member of the Business Council since the early 1990s. Other sponsors include NYPA and Monroe College. Renee Brown, CEO of C.W. Brown Inc. serves on NMBC's board of directors.
