Armonk, NY Carmelo Milio, president of Trion Real Estate Management, has been named 2016 president of the Building and Realty Institute (BI-BRI). Having celebrated the 35th anniversary last year of Trion Real Estate, a tri-state area leader in full-service property management headquartered in Yonkers, he brings experience, talent and in-depth industry know-how to the role.

“It is an honor for me to serve as the president of the BI-BRI in 2016. I am especially pleased to help lead our organization at this significant moment in BI-BRI’s history – our commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the formation of our association,” Milio said.

As president, Milio will apply marketing techniques to propel the BRI brand to the next level.

With the dual goals of expanding the association’s already considerable membership and shining a spotlight on its numerous projects, accomplishments and impressive history as one the largest and most respected construction, development and real estate-related industry trade associations in New York State. Milio also will leverage his extensive and nuanced understanding of the importance of relationship-building to create more, and more effective, networking opportunities for all BI-BRI members.

“As the current president of Trion Real Estate Management, and the former chair of the BI-BRI Apartment Owners Advisory Council, I have worked closely every day with professionals at every level of the industry – managers, owners, board members and contractors,” Milio said. “Forging and strengthening these professional and personal connections has always been a key force driving Trion’s incredible record of growth and success, and that’s something I plan to bring to BI-BRI.”

Milio, CPM, is president of Trion Real Estate Management LLC, a full-service real estate company specializing in property management, maintenance and leasing for investors and co-op and condo associations throughout New York and Connecticut, and chief investment officer and founder of Trion Holdings LLC, a platform for acquiring undervalued and value-added multifamily properties throughout the tri-state area.

Albert Annunziata, executive director of BI-BRI, said, “I have known Carmelo Milio for years and he is one of the most energetic, enthusiastic persons in this industry. A consummate and knowledgeable professional, he has an uncanny instinct for what works and what doesn’t. He also has that unique ability to bring out the very best in people. That is a rare gift.”
